Academic English Course Design for Non-English Major Undergraduates Based on Needs Analysis

This paper probes into the feasibility of setting up EAP courses (English for Academic Purpose) non-English majors in Harbin Engineering University. study adopts need analysis model Hutchinson and Waters, uses research methods questionnaire survey interview. The results show that students have strong desire to be offered English course Purposes, but their current level is not sufficient cope with academic tasks, they systematic training skills.
